Palouse Wheat Farmer, Washington

Palouse farmer John Aeschliman in his wheat field near Colfax, Washington. The soil is the deep loess soil of the Palouse which is incredibly rich and productive, especially for wheat growing. Aeschliman is a proponent of no-till farming that minimizes tillage.
